I have unlocked my Nokia 6630

Hi!

I have a Nokia 6630 from Vodafone UK.
Unfortunately its locked by the said network hence I cannot use it here using globe or smart sim cards.
I already inquired in some cellphone shops but they said they cannot unlock these newer generation Nokia phones.
Anybody knows a workaround for this.

Any inputs will be much appreciated.

I have already unlock/open my Nokia 6630 (locked by Vodafone of UK)
the code was given to me by my friend who works in Nokia Europe.
the format is a 15 digit code generated by Nokia personnel.

this is the format (n=number)

#pw+nnnnnnnnnnnnnnn+1#

it worked like a charm... :mrgreen:

Now I can use my globe sim card on this cell phone

Hope this info helps on you guys with BB5 Nokia Phones...

DCT 3/4 Nokia phones could be unlocked by a code generator/calculator or by cable solution
but the newer BB5 phones could not be unlocked by this method as there are no code generator available in the market for this type of phones. The only way to unlock it is thru your network operator. (who locked the unit), or probably by flashing the unit (im not so sure of this or if there are upgrade software available for these bb5 phones).

the code is usually based on your IMEI number and the network operator. So the code for my phone is different from your phone as we have different imei. The only way you could unlock it is by asking the code from your network operator in your case vodafone japan.
