Are forum based sites good for adsense?

Just a couple of questions.

Im just curious since im running 2 forum based websites. Ask lng ko sa mga experts about adsense if forum based ang imo site its not really good for adsense? specially if specific region ra ang target sa site. ky so far earnings nko for adsense is only $.75/day average. And ang forum is for car clubs.

Would it help (adsense earnings) if lets say i add a blog and use it on a subdomain created from my main domain?

By the way, each forum has 3,500 - 4,000 unique visitors/month. Basi naa mo ma recommend on how to improve earnings. At least maka tabang na ang earnings for the hosting sa sites

Not an expert, pero forums are really bad for Adsense but depende sa imong pag implement (placement, blending, etc) pwede pa na mudako. Try lang ug experiment2x basta lang dili makaguba sa user experience. Although mas nindot pa na imong plano na mag blog2x boss, basta sakto lang ug content.

Nope. If your traffic is good, it can be ok. Generally though, it doesn't perform as well as other types of websites.

what you can do is have a paid advertising for local markets here in cebu. mas dako pa igo. if you can, run it through google adwords, you can have your own ads rotating on your forum

Sa ako nabasahan online, forum'ers are Ad-Blind ! If you place your ads casually lang, di jud ma ma-click.
Mao na ilang ingon (wa ko kasuway ani kay wala man koý forum site).

Pero if hi-PR and hi-Traffic na imong site, sakto na sila, you can do paid advertising to local and international markets. You can even sell links.

Just thinking aloud, if forums are more or less text-based, try running Contextual Ads daw?

ive been considering about paid local advertising. but problem is, i dont know how much usually would be the rates

by the way my forum 1 is PR2 while forum 2 is PR1.

it boils down to the efficiency of the forum when generating income from ads. let's say you have the same traffic for a forum and a website, which do you think would generate more income? if your goal is to generate income from adsense.

@usrolla: why not start with something minimum considering adding your expenses also. it also depends on your traffic. would you charge 500 a month per ad for a 30k+ a month visitors? you can also have xdeals too.
