I don't know much about the Philippines Customs group, but in the USA, they are more stricter. In that sense, it may be possible to export certain items "easier" if you have a "kaila" in Customs, but when it gets to the US, it undergoes another check.

Also, one of the best resources to check out trade data is the various census/statistics pages of each country -- if they have one. From the data, you may be able to see which item has almost reach its quota for the year or which item is tax free and which one is not.

Ang akong main interest, kay ang shipping process from the Philippines to another country. Wala pa kaayo ko naka-familiar ana. I'm hearing different fees for shipping a container, but I think on average the values are around $1000+ for a container.

Does anyone have additional info regarding exporting from the Philippines? I'd also like to learn about the process and find out if there are companies out there that allow shipping in partially filled containers.

    Salamat!

sometimes naa mn dyd na mga dirty works. you saw that one on TV kna naa mdakpan nga mga Imported items nga walay klarong papers. mao na. pero naa mn pd mka lusot.

Why most people are scared of trying Importation/Exportation?
selling/buying of items are in US$ sa if mo fluctuate ang peso vs US$ mao na mg lisud. lisud ma i adjust ang price sa item nga pang export labi na kron nga grbi na ang export sa china. mao na naay pud manirado nga exporter if dili na mka compete sa market. for importation
    depende pd sa product.

bai...naa koy ga pangutana not directly on imports pero related ni siya. Akoang pamilya manguli na diha sa atoa sa Cebu unya dad-on nila ang amoa mga gamit nga napalit sama sa usual home appliances (kitchen equipments like oven, blender, mixer), toys, kiddie bikes, kiddie cars ug uban pa. Most of these items have been in our personal use for more than 6 months ago.

Are these taxable? Do you have any idea on the rate for these personal items?
