Biography:

I'm Mr. Gerbe P. Cañacao from Cebu City, Philippines. Graduated at University of Cebu Main Campus Major in Hotel and Restaurant Management. I was a Scholar of Sacred Heart Parish Church and a Working Scholar of University of Cebu Main Campus.School year 2006, my first year in college. That is when I discovered my talent in fruit and vegetable carving. I have been carving papaya, squash, and other vegetables and fruits varieties .I also do soap carving.I began competing in University of Cebu during the HRM Days. Won the following competition: Gold Medal in Fruit and Vegetable Carving, Gold Medal in Iron Chef (Classical).Summer 2009, I joined the Cebu Food and Beverage Exhibit "CEFBEX" contest, which I won Gold in the category Iron Chef "Classical" and Silver for "Visayan" category. The competition was organized by the Chef and Staff of Philippine Culinary School.In 2010 I took my On-the-job training in Shangri-la Mactan Resort and Spa, where I learned and been trained about Guest Satisfaction and to showcase my masterpiece in Fruit and Vegetable carving. Summer of the same year I was featured in a local magazine Television show (MAG TV NA!) of ABS-CBN where I showcased my carvings.At present I am a Proud HRM Instructor of University of Cebu Main campus, College of Hotel and Restaurant Management.
