    Lolong Update

"Lolong's necropsy took 7 hours. His skin was separated from his muscles and bones, since he'll be stuffed (taxidermy). They're going to bury the meat and bones, and allow the muscles to be separated from the bones. They will bleach the bones and assemble them, just like that croc in Palawan. "

    -Mariella

She is a friend of mine, who will volunteer for the bone bleaching process!

According to a news report, Lolong died because he swallowed a nylon rope that caused his diarrhea.

BUTUAN CITY, Philippines - “Lolong,” the world’s largest crocodile, has died in captivity.

The crocodile has been ailing since swallowing a nylon cord three weeks ago, which triggered chronic diarrhea. The reptile’s stomach started swelling, according to Rowena Elorde, special spokesperson for the Bunawan local government.

Lolong’s assigned caretaker, crocodile expert Ronnie Sumiller, has been in Palawan in recent days, prompting the Bunawan government to call in Alexander Collantes, a veterinarian from the Davao Crocodile Farm.

Collantes pronounced Lolong dead at past 8 last night. Sumiller is expected to return to Bunawan today and will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

ah! kaizen, I heard that term before in my management class. I once made it as my mantra in 'courting' the girl I liked before (and still am, lol), thinking continous "improvement" can also be applied to anything I pursue. I failed half-way and now I know why; it seems that I'm stabbed by my own thoughts! Thank you for the recall.

it can also be summarized in the word..."kaizen" continous improvement...discipline and perseveranee is often forgotten nowadays...people tend to look for "instants" and shortcuts...well, we share the same interest and i hope this mindset will aid us in life's endless battles... good luck to you sir!
