Hi mga ka-istoryans!

Mo ask unta ko sa inyong mga brilliant advice with regards sa unsaon pag boost sa signal sa wifi sa balay using a router.

I have pldt dsl modem with 3mbps bundled plan pero i noticed sa taas dili kaayo makakuha og signal. I also have a cisco router and plans to hook it sa pldt modem router as wifi signal booster para sa taas.

I will not use it as a repeater kay mo dwindle by half ang speed unya mo samot og lag ang duwa nako online like moba, heroes evolved. And then i also searched online pero ga libog ko kay dili man gud kaayo ko sweto ingon aning mga butanga.

Now my questions are:

1. Pwede raba ma hook wirelessly ang cisco router sa pldt modem para booth mo generate og signal while maintining its speed? Kay i saw man gud online nga need gyud og ethernet cable from pldt modem to router para mo work

2. Unsaon pag set-up sa router or sa pldt modem nga para mura ra silag usa? I found some terms like bridging and router firmwares like DD-WRT.

3. Dili ba ni sya prone ma hack if ingon ani ang set-up kay naa gyud mang hack diri sa amo? (na hack akong net one time thats why akong gi on ang MAC filtering feature sa akong pldt modem)

Simple rman kaayo imong problem bai, just buy an ethernet cable about 20-30 meters (sa Gaisano Interpace barato) or even more than 50 meters, maximum of 100 meters ethernet cable.

Step 1. Plug one end of the ethernet cable in one of the LAN ports at the back of your PLDT modem/router.
Step 2. Lay your ethernet cable pwede sd itago or ipa kilid bsta mahipos padung sa 2nd floor sa inyong balay.
Step 3. Plug the other end of the ethernet cable sa "WAN" port at the back of your CISCO router.
Step 4. Plug your CISCO router, set up SSID name and password.

Ang downside lng ani nga set up is you will have 2 SSIDs or WIFI name but it's a cheaper option.


If you can afford you an try Google Wifi, that way you will only have 1 SSID at home and your entire house will be blanketed with wifi.

1. Yes pwede ma hook but you need ethernet cable, wireless bridging is possible pero speed will be lesser and ping will be higher.
2. You will need WIFI MESH set up (just like Google wifi) if you want 1 SSID for your entire house (which is expensive)

- DDWRT is just a firmware for some routers bai which can do wireless bridging.

Thank you sa imong idea sir @Darkbyte. Cge bahala nag duha ang SSID basta dili lang mohinay ang speed sa akong internet tapos mas mo kusog ang wifi ang cignal sa balay. Called gaisano interpace and unfortunately dili sila mo baligya og per meter sa cat6 by box man tapos tag 4,900 ang box. Waaaahhhh..:
