Why Kali in particular? Are you into pene, intru & secu?

Short answer to your dilemma. Afaik on virtual machines dili man makahatag ang virtual program sa guest system ug direct access sa imong host wifi card. Mao gamit gyud ka ug usb wireless adapter.

The workaround is to install Kali as your host system (if Kali is too important to your day to day activity). Stay away from VM or Virtual Box.

    Hope these helps.

I'm studying pentesting kay murag I can make something out of this. I installed Kali on my system. Gamit kg adapter, sa VM I found a workaround, I bridged my NIC para maka gamit ko, and it worked. Problem is, kung e-load nako ang kali sa ako hardrive, (i installed it together with my windows) di nako magamit ang built in na NIC, maka gamit ko sa ako adapter pero every few minutes mo DC siya if mag browse ko, but if mag update lang ko like apt-get update && apt-get upgrade na command, mo lahos ra siya... ambot ngano ni, problema siguro sa port, for now, I settle using VM lang sa.

You have made the right choice and there is no better toolkit than Kali in pentesting.
If you are using a USB network adapter you are good to go and should have no problem.
"load kali on hard drive"? nag dual boot ka? off man tingali by default ang network services sa kali.
Wala man noon ko kaencounter ug problema when using usb wireless adapter with Kali running in VM.
Nakagamit ko before Alfa Network adapter. Nindot siya kay puwede sa monitor mode.
Unsa gamit nimo nga USB wireless adapter?

    Suwayi bisita sa Kali forum

kontento nako sa akong wifi adapter boss oi, mao japon kung mo gamit kog sa built-in wala man xay promiscuous mode nga feature. ge testingan nako tanan tools sa Kali and so far the best jud xa for pentest, still have much to learn though, but at least kabaw nako sa basics... nice ang pentest kay magamit jud nimo utok, even naay social engineering gamay samot na kung ang company nga imo e-audit kay dili mo hatag og public IP, meaning ikaw dapat mangitag paagi makuha ila IP's hehehehehe... setup kog virtual network/virtual lab para practisanan
