All About Tubeless Tires

Hello Istoryans!

Let's talk about tubeless tires here. Anything from maintenance, repairs, prices, advantages, disadvantages, installation, et. al.

First off, how do we distinguish a tubeless tire to a tubed tire based on the looks with the rims on already?
We have a surplus van and I'm not sure if its tires are tubeless or not. Somebody from our neighborhood said they're tubeless. As a newbie car owner, I really can't tell if he is indeed right.

Second, can we count on our roadside vulcanizing shops to do quick repairs on punctured tubeless tires? Or we need to have those specialized Tubeless Tire Repair Kit and Tools just like this one to be always on our trunk for quick fixes?

last time ko kita ug car nga tube kay katong mga gagmay nga sakyanan...ug kanang ubang pasaheroan nga jeep...pero menos ras auto...kay daghan na jud ang tubeless ron...

wa koy problema mga daplin nga vulcanizing...basta imo lang bantayan nga kompleto pag-taud...
kanang motor oh kay daghang gagmayng parts before matangtang/taud ang ligid sa luyo...siguroon nga na-taud balik tanan...kay basin mao ray kadisgrasyahan nimo ang kuwang nga parts...

Ang sakyanan dili mana kinahanglan ug quick repair (ipa vulcanize dayon) imo tubeless tire. Di man parihas sa motor nga walay reserba.

Ang imo nalang problemahon TS ang pagkaton nimo ug tang2x sa imong ligid.

There's an indicator sa sidewall of the tire if tubeless or not.

Be wary when going to those roadside vulcanizing shops that use heat to melt the rubber to fix the puncture as this MAY cause ply separation in most modern steel-belted tires. To be safe, ask them if they do "cold patches" as most reputable roadside tire shops already have this on hand and this is the more advisable way to repair punctured tires (they also don't cost that much and is much quicker than melting the rubber).

There's nothing indicated on the sidewall of the tires, boss whether it's tubeless or not. It only says it's "Studless" which I think doesn't denote to being tubeless.
Our neighbor said it's tubeless. Ingon siya mahibaw-an daw sa kanyoto. I don't know what he meant. He must be referring to the tire valve nut (retaining nut) that is fastened on the rims?

tymsa lahi ako nasabtan hehehhe... mga branded car tires are tubeless man... kadto lang mga shina shina ang sidewall dili tubeless kay mangburot sa walay hinungdan ug mubuto sa walay oras (crap quality)....

pero sa mga nainstall na nga tire sa rim unsaon pagkahibalo if nag interior or wala is through tire valve... usually ang tire valve sa mga interior type is kana makita nimo sa mga common rios type nga ligid, bisiklita, motorsiklo...

kani ang tire valve sa tubeless ni....
