Is it bad to use both AVG antivirus and Windows Defender on my laptop?

I hear its not good to have more than one antivirus running on a computer. I bought AVG for my new Sony VIOS laptop, but all of a sudden I'm seeing this "Winows Defender" (I guess it came with the computer.) I don't know much about computers so I normally just ignore it but I want to make sure it's okay to have them both on my computer.

if the speed of your computer is ok, then better to have them both...i think sa windows 7 na xa makita..
so windows 7 diay emong ang nkainstall sa emong system...

as it is, you only have 1 antivirus running.
Windows Defender is not an antivirus program rather it is antispyware.
in fact it was called as such before - Windows Anti Spyware.
The antivirus functionality of Windows Defender will only be implemented with Windows 8.

i guess its much better to install all in one av... kay kung mao na cya i always experience nga mu hinay ako PC.. W7 cya... so i installed kaspersky...it worked like a charm..

- Microsoft Security Essentials for Anti-virus duty
- Comodo Internet Security for Firewall and System file protection

I think windows defender has a firewall option you should leave on. Your combination isn't the worst I've heard.

mag conflict jud na... naka experienced nako ana sauna my laptop came with free norton AV ambot unsay nakaon nako gi installan nakog MSE bang murag iring nag ilog sa bukog...

Running more than one anti virus program eats up your resources. If you're running Windows, use MSE instead, it's free.
