No. You are not charged when you receive messages via the Chikka Application.

@visual, yes people who send replies thru chikka(directly) are charged P2.50.. that is also the reason chikka sends a confirmation to the reciever(first time recievers) that they are charged if replied directly..

what i usually does.. same also with our fellow forumers is to inform people that im sending to REPLY DIRECTLY to my cel number instead of replying to the chikka number.

well,.. i guess in that way.. we are not in the capacity to complain more about it since we can send FREE sms. the little obligation of notifying the reciever to reply directly to our cel numbers is all that we have to be on guard.

it is clear in the disclaimer,.. that charges occurs when people sends a REPLY to the chikka number. i was answering the question on: "is a reciever being charged if they recv a message from a chikka sender."

what do you think?

yep i agree the receiver will not be charged for the received message unless he replies to it using the same number. notice that even though the same name appears on the phone-- the phone number is different. So receivers should manually reply by choosing the correct +63 number of the sender and not that of Chikka's (chikka's number is the same number as that of the sender with a few numbers preceding it). I'm sure they don't charge receivers anything. I've been using chikka a year ago pa.. i'm the type of person na dili mag sige reload sa cell .. even though zero balance na .. maka receive gihapon ko text from chikka.

is it my chikka or dili na pwede mo send og text sa chikka? i tried to send txt earlier peru dili naman mo appear katong window na mo type ka sa imo text when you double click a name sa imo buddy

Does anyone know how to trace accounts sa CHIKKA? I know somebody nga maka receive ug death threats... and CHIKKA ang gigamit. Nagpatabang siya...

interesting thread. i think chikka is still going strong. and yeah, they only charge P2.50 per sent message from the user who replies to a chikka account #. but lately, morag down ang service (since yesterday). anybody in the same boat?
