Least Valuable Player: Vince Carter, New Jersey Nets

Nothing predicts a Nets freefall better than a comfortable, well-paid and unmotivated Carter. Half-man, half-hearted. They are in the middle of a coach-killing, eight-game losing streak, and no one is playing softer than Carter. He has stopped going to the rim, stopped risking life and limb and declared his new four-year, $62 million contract fit for a suburban jump shooter.

As badly as Rod Thorn would love to trade him, there are no takers. Ownership wanted to overpay Carter last summer – not the basketball people – and they’re stuck with him.

sayang kaau ang talent ni VC, he used to be too flashy back in toronto. unfortunately he doesn't have the heart and desire to take over and to emerge to be the best. tiniguwang na kaau ug dinuwaan c VC karon, kontento nalang ug jumpshots. injuries also caused him to slow down. pero until now he can still take control of the game if he wanted to, but ala nalang jud ang fire inside him.

Im a big VC fan eversince his NCAA days. Eventhough boring na cya tan-awon karon im still his biggest fan. ahehehe. He has helped me alot especially pushing myself to the limits. Im just 5'4" but i can hang on a 10 ft rim with my 2 hands. thanx alot VC!!! em not kidding...

    @ good$
im no carter fan,but to say the man's a whinner and halfhearted is just plain wrong..and as for him being more of a jumpshooter than an aerial acrobat, normal lang gyud na..if you have been watching bball intelligently(which i doubt) kasagaran gyud sa mga high fliers will tend to pull-up more j's than go for dunks when there getting older.case of point,MJ grabe na sad kaayo ang injuries iyang naagian, kung kabalo lang ka unsa kalisod pagbalik sa court after an operation. sure he's mot MJ in or outside the court but 1 thing is for certain,he can kick your butt if you played so stop posting nonsense comments about VC....

    Inspiring.

Anyway, Vince Carter being the "Least Valuable Player" is BS. I've read posts of Nets fans in one particular forum and they all have been proud of him but VC has to be shipped somewhere for the Nets to rebuild. HOWEVER, it is not necessary for the Nets to trade VC but TRADE Richard Jefferson instead. It happens that those clowns out there are working at ESPN and, somehow, declared from out of nowhere to crown someone that they think is the LEAST of them all.

We may not have felt Carter's fire this season but that doesn't mean he's the least valuable player out there. He has worked himself off but, again, the injuries bothered him and to top it all off, the Nets traded Jason Kidd (bad chemistry between them though), thus the low boost with his teammates looking into the Offseason. If they can get someone valuable in return for RJ, draft picks, free agent and a NEW coach then it would be a new era for New Jersey.
