ahh i have both of them, ok lang, so its not true
Haven't heard such a thing. But as what wendell asked... why use McAfee? Norton & McAfee may buwangon na silang duha. Bloated piece of crap.
I don't even believe they are true anti-virus programs. Both just slow your system so much (and take all your memory), so when a real virus enters your system, it can't execute anymore since Norton or McAfee have hogged down all the memory.

Nortons consumer end is bad, but ilang Enterpise edition is the best AV around ( bar none )
So not true...

what kind of rumor crap is this?... source? anyway, norton and mcaffee really bogs down the system, and for a couple of times, nasudlon kog worm and trojan!! wtf, it simply slipped past through my av program and started doing crazy stuff to my pc.. that was long long ago, before I had zonealarm pro..
i dunno about the inet connection effect.. maybe true coz it really bogs down the system, these a/v programs.. but we dont have a choice do we? we need these a/v programs to give us a sense of security..
so what AV ur using then?Originally Posted by Nezumix22
@ampdeck: ZoneAlarm Security Suite + NortonAntivirus 2k5.. This ain't a recommended setup but ever since I got a beefier system, this pretty much works for me.. I need 2 a/v programs in case one fails.. that has always been a recommendation by security groups.. but requires a beefy system.. bug.at gyud pero I need it, I have sensitive info in my PC..
