Ooh, that's scary.. directly from Redmond, Washington? And ur using MSN messenger, it must be sending info to the MSN server..
Just because packets are rejected by Mcaffe doesn't mean those packets aren't are used by other programs, perhaps Microsoft. Not all packets caught by Mcaffe are attempts to hack or compromise your system.
Ako gamit is MC Afee man sab.MC AFEE Virus Scan 2004 version 8.0 and MC Afee Personal Firewall Plus 2004 version 5.0 den waman ko problema pareha ana.Im using all IM.
PWEDE MAN NA NIMO MA BLOCK IF NAA INTRUDER.WA DIAY NIMO GI BLOCK?
Yes it was blocked and detected and traced to the above linkLuckily
DSX- How does autoupdate let this happen?
im not using MSN MESSENGER na I think microsoft is trying to hack into my system through it..
perhaps McAfee blocked Windows' autoupdate....
windows autoupdate, or theres a thing that windows automatically syncs ur time to a standard one. cant verify what that name was coz im using windows98... anyways i dont even care. microsoft wont waste their time coming after your data...
might also be possible that the "messenger" dat your firewall blocked isnt the MSN messenger or Windows messenger program that u used to chat. it might the the messenger that send or recieves errors made by the system.its something loaded at the services menu.something that allows you to send report to microsoft when you have a critical error or something..
anyways if Microsoft would hack into someones system, i wouldnt think it will use something that can be detected.they made thier OS, and if they were to do that, they would know which or how without it being detected....
ry, what ports were used by messenger that were detected/blocked by the fw? this info may help trace what kind of traffic is being transmitted by messenger to redmond. may be legit.
its not hacking... there are thousands of Online companies that are doing a survey around the net. its normal... no hacking.
i already have more than 50+ blocked access from Microsoft... theres a lot of blocked access each day...not all of them are hacking attempts... maybe 0.01 - 5% of them only...
topic will be moved to software & games...
