Naka-gamit nako both PHP and Python. I saw the difference. The reason nganong PHP gihapon ko ka'y supported man gud sa mga hosting companies.
Mao na daghan nigamit sa PHP ka'y ang PHP man usa sa una og provide sa dynamic web solution. Doesn't mean dili na pwede ang Python. I'll stick to PHP and Java for now.
But Python looks promising...

I won't compare python vs php.
Php is not a general purpose language, although also object oriented.
PHP is mainly for website development and its libraries are focused there.
In another hand Python is a general purpose language that you could compare like JAVA.
Python and JAVA(beans) can also be used as server side scripting but not optimized for it.
Python is strong on text processing, lists management and has GUI, database connectivity and console libraries as well.
The main advantage of Python, and Java as well, is cross-platform.
You could develop softwares that can run on linux, windows and any POSIX machines.
Python is easy but rich language and still young, so still few developers use it.
Python (and Java) are interpreted language. Speed may be an issue here if you are coding purely in Python without using its native libraries. Its native libraries are compiled, so using them are quite fast. It is also extendable, so you can build your own libs in C/C++ to be fairly fast.
Agreed.. maa jud..!! heheh ^_^ pero ako, i wanna learn phyton too. for a personal project..
Hope i can learn 2 weeks ^_^ excited nko
How about in 10 minutes .Originally Posted by mr_kyme

eh, Python isn't young by any means.
Yes it is already very stable and mature. But it only gained its popularity in early 2000.Originally Posted by vern
