    ABOUT THE SPEAKER

    Malu was born and raised in Manila, Philippines, where she graduated at the University of Santo Tomas with a degree on Bachelor of Fine Art, major in Interior Design (1982). She is currently pursuing a Graduate Diploma on Pastoral Counseling at the Asian Theological Seminary.

    As a parent of a child with Down Syndrome, Malu is an advocate of people affected by disability, serving in ministries for people with special needs. She was the Past Vice President of the Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines, a Board Member of the God is Able International Foundation, an organization affiliated with Joni & Friends USA, and a Core Member of Unique Special Needs Ministry at the Christ Commission Fellowship (CCF) church in Manila. Malu is an alumni and a faculty member at Haggai International, an organization based in Maui, Hawaii, USA that trains Christian leaders for the purpose of evangelism. SHe is a co-host at the God is Able Radio Program at FEBC DZAS 702 and God is Able TV Program at GCTV Network. A member of the Pastoral Care Ministry at Christ Commission Fellowship (CCF) church. Malu counsels oppressed and abused women, and families affected by disability. Sh e is an inspirational speaker for women, advocating inner beauty, purity, finance, family and marriage.

    Malu authored "Embracing God's Purpose for My Child with Special Needs" in 2009; "Ikaw na ang Maganda: How to be Beautiful Inside and Out" in 2014 (National Bookstore's Bestsellers March 2015); "Ang Diary ng Legal: Hope para sa Mukhang Hopeless na Marriage" in 2015; "Ikaw na ang Maganda, Book 2: Dress Up Pure and Lovely" in 2016 (National Bookstores' Bestsellers May 2017); and "Ikaw na ang Maganda, Book 3: How to be Fit and Fab" in 2017.

    Malu has three children, Carlo Miguel, Claro Paulo II, and Clarissa Lorraine, born with Down Syndrome, She is currently based in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
