I cant see any solutions implemented or currently planned that will solve traffic congestion in the next 5-10 years. So it will become worse.

Cebu should regulate its car ownerships just like Singapore if it wants to sustain solutions
in traffic, no amount of infrastructure will stop traffic jams worsening if the number of vehicles continue to grow.
Regulate vehicle ownership and then make modern, efficient mass transport systems.
I would ditch using a car if there are more convenient, modern, safe, timely and efficient mass transport systems
like, MRT, LRT, MONORAIL, MAGLEV, RAIL all over the city.

you need to find a way of moving lots of people RAPIDLY, which is usually a combination of lightrail (Tram - electrified train that runs its own rail on the road) , heavyrail (TRAIN) , thing sthat move 4000 people at once , and buses, You can include undergound rail.


So, looking above, its what you see on Western Countries, which means , these countries spend a lot on the development of infrastructure which involves MONEY.


Hopefully, when there aren't too many corrupt officials, perhaps these can be achieved.

This government should fix the roads and public transport system. Replace old jeepneys with buses. Phase out trisikads which should not have been allowed to operate in the first place. Install cameras (through loan), tutal mabawi ra na within a few years. Besides, ang collection sa traffic violation will pay for it.

Vacate vendors from the sidewalks so pedestrian can own them again.

Install WORKING traffic lights in areas that badly need them (eskina duol sa Hipodromo, kanang access road padung Ayala).

You can't force people not to buy their own cars, kay ang public transport diri is just a step down from a hellride.
