More vehicles on same roads. Palit jud ang mga tao labi nausab ang pay schemes sa mga dealers karon, and that the state of commuting has not changed for the better. If mass transportation is improved, mas mopili siguro ang mga tao mag public transpo.

I've already stated this earlier that even a highly improved city transit
means nothing if car dealers retain their very low payment schemes.
Our roads cannot contain the volume of vehicles coming in/out of it.

You do have a point. As long as PUJs still operate even if not suitable already, you've a case for traffic.
But the preceding main public transport had nothing to do with the current road congestion problems.
The car/motorcycle distribution is what causes this maddening traffic jams afaic. Why? because 5k DP.

Who in the fvck could not afford that kind of DP and a monthly of 8-9k? If not then they go buy scooters.

Naa to once pag anniversary sa Toyota, P1 ra jud. Naay uban less than 5k. Buhaton jud ning mga auto dealers sa ilang makaya para mahalinan ug sakyanan. And it's crazy to think daghan pa jud ang mo kagat ani nga bait. Oh well, kitang tanan raman sad ang mag suffer in the end.

with a peaceful ride specially in Metro Cebu. Also, in the 90's amortizations on cars were very costly.
exactly my two cents... naka rant ko ani sa Facebook, 5 years ago.

Many people in Japan can easily afford cars, but the government requires them to have a parking space before they can acquire one.
Even then, they dont use their cars and instead opt to bike or walk to the train stations since it is faster and more convenient than bringing their own cars. Which is evident during weekdays where people just leave their cars on their garage / paid parking lots and they just commute to work. Plus, parking on commercial establishments are pretty expensive as well.
Although traffic is really bad on the highways in and out major highways during the holidays since people would flock to the countryside.

Bro, you dont have to mention all that. You can visit Japan thread or Working in Japan thread,
read all the pages and discover that some Istoryans have been there couple of times or more.
Besides, even though correlation does not imply causation, however, with our traffic problems,
    it appears that it does.

To discern how a Nihon-jin thinks vs a typical Pinoy is profoundly impractical.

Want people to walk instead? sure..
only if walking lanes were 2-meters wide and not occupied by street vendors.

Want people to use bikes? then..
there must be bike lanes somewhere.

Want people to stop using their cars and ride the jeepneys? then..
scrap the old chariots and replace them with modern ones - EURO 4 at the very least.

There's no band-aid soluton to this. Simply accepting the fact that Cebu's becoming Manila 2.0
will heal our frustrations. Let nature take its course and adapt. Solving problems is not part of the
    Pinoy Pride ubringing. hahaha

ako kay adjust na lang gyud to the worsening traffic. di na kaayo ko mu lakaw kung dili importante, if pwede i-baktas kay baktason ra nako, travel a few hours before appointment time para di ma-late, etc... di ko mag expect nga ma-solve ni ang traffic situation sa local government. learn to live with it na lang...

That plan is pure bull. Unless they take out half of the existing PUJ and force all
banks to impose increments of not lower than 1% over monthly interest rate of
the actual unit price in any car financing scheme with bigger discounts on full
cash payments. That way, a lot of potential buyers will back out and proceed
    to commute.

In other words, di sa ko mosalig aning 2021 Monorail plan nila as long as ang
CCMC ingun ana pa gikan 2012. Grabe ning gobyerno sa Cebu. Mahuman
na lang si Du30 sa iyang term anang kalakiha igo ra na plano.
