Default Buying Toyota Vios or Mirage G4?

Hi Storyans,I'm planning to buy a car choices are Vios J or Mirage G4, but mo prefer ko sa Vios. I will have to decide though.Pro's and con's between 2 models.Fuel Efficiency and Maintenance cost. Appreciate you advice on this. Thanks!

Same dilemma, bro but mine is more on Mirage G4 vs. City vs. Vios. Last option nako is the Vios. My concern with the Vios is its fuel consumption. Daghan man nag ingon gud nga with current gen, kalas ug gasolina. From where I live, I need a fuel efficient car gyud since grabe ka traffic ang Lapu-lapu. Naka test drive ko sa G4 and I think it's fine even with its small engine and despite having 3 cylinders lang. Saba gamay iyang engine compared sa Vios and City but you get the fuel economy man pod. Daghan pod ko nabasahan nga good reviews about the G4. Daghan mu-bash mostly "experts" kunohay in car reviews but I seldom read bad reviews from Mirage owners themselves. Try gani sa youtube, there are lots of reviews sa Mirage didto and read the comments. As for my other option, the City, wala pa ko ka test drive but murag next time nalang ni. I think in the long run, mas dako gyud ug maintenance cost ang Honda.

If you're like me nga mostly for city driving lang, go for G4 bro. A little slower siya kysa Vios sa arangkada but unsaon man na nato nga bisan roads leading to the province ky traffic na man. Diri igo lang ta kabulhot gamay, stop na pod or hit the brake ky naay ga-ali nga car/tricycle/pedestrian.

Thank you sa imong comments bro..Noted on your points...Pass nko aning City ky known jud nga mahal og maintenance cost..Good to know nga fuel efficient ang Mirage but dli ba mahal og mga parts ang G4 as what i mostly heared compared to Vios?
How about sa PMS nmo ana bro? Pilay usually gasto nmo sa casa? Thanks

wala pa ko kapalit, bro... booking pa lang. hopefully ma-complete na nako ang purchase before the week ends.
ingon sa ako manghud 1st PMS niya around 3K, then pag 20KM PMS around 7K. fully synthetic nuon iya gigamit nga oil. you can save if you just use the conventional (mineral) engine oil.

FYI. Top of the line G4 = P813,000 vs. P800+ Vios E-model (mid variant)

by the way, dili na nato magamit dayon ang cars karon without the OR/CR as mandated by LTO last Feb 2017. Huwat pa ta 2-3 weeks siguro para marelease ang OR/CR before magamit ang car.

ang latest nga Vios with an updated dual VVTi engine mas tipid na kuno based on reviews...

i am a first time brand new car owner and i chose Honda... i think naa common misconception nga mahal ang maintenance sa Honda... dili ko ka compare sa uban kay again 1st time car owner ko... but so far akong PMS is as below:

1k - totally free, pure check up... walay change oil og uban pa
10k - 3.7k (could be lesser had i chose mineral oil and removed the unnecessary)
next nako kay April for 20k, rough estimate is 7k to 8k (semi synthetic)

every 10k or 6 months ra ang Honda... so usahay libog ko ngano mo ingon kadaghanan mahal og maintenance ang Honda... i've heard Suzuki and Toyota every 5k (dunno if it's true)...

Honda Jazz akoa by the way nga matic (CVT)... 40k (or 2 years) nako puhon2 mahal2 kay ilis nag CVTF and among others...

Sakto gyud na, boss... Maglibog ta kay naa mu ingon mahal, naa pod mu ingon sakto ra. Murag depende ra gyud siguro sa bulsa sa owner. Anyway, first choice jud nako before was the City. If only I have enough juice, i'll go with it gyud. Ganahan kaayo ko sa porma. But turning point nako was the fuel consumption. Tipid man pod daw ang City, but sa situation namo dri sa lapu-lapu, murag makatipid ko sa gas sa smaller engine Mirage kung stuck ko sa traffic for a long time. I hope I'm not wrong with my analysis... Hehehe.

kung mag Mirage ka bro, you can never go wrong with it...

Thanks bro. Good to hear from a H-City owner..I've read an article also from Top Gear regarding aning fuel efficiency sa Vios due to new engine...That's why i want to hear from actual owners sad..hehehe.

Maybe bro, it boils down nga mahal jud ang price sa Honda cars. Mao guro ma generalize nga mahal sad og maintenance. But from your perspective that explains a lot and now I understand...hehe.

With regards sa PMS thus Honda still require every 10k kms even using mineral oil? As the way I understand it recommended ang every 5k kms kong mineral oil lng..then every 10k kms if FS oil ang gamit? Correct me if i'm wrong, as nabasa ra sad ni nko sa furoms and online article ky first time car owner sad ko if ever..hehe

By the way, unsa nga variant sa G4 imong unit? Nka notice sad ko ang mga G4 nga gi offer ron ky mga upgraded there are some features nga wala sa Vios given nga there on the same level as counterpart nla...

Mao sad bro...unfortunately if Vios i'm aiming for the J model ra which 1.3, so mahug og bitin ra jpun d i given nga dako cya og kaha...tsk2x...one of the reason for kong vios is much bigger and spacious but ma sacrifice lng pud ang engine...hmm....

Planning to buy the GLS top of the line, bro. Daghan gyud siya ug features. Then iyang overall weight is lesser than the vios pod, mao bisan gamay siya ug engine na maintain gihapon niya ang fuel efficiency.

If GLX ka, okay na pod kaayo iya features. P703,000 ang price dri sa cebu.
