Try the Baltic Cruise, its really cheap on winter(since its cold and nobody wants to do it) and you can visit a city/country in a day or two.

    Estonia - Sweden - Findland - Russia

I've been to 2 cruises before. Mediterranean (Barcelona,Naples, Civitavecchia, Livorno and Monte Carlo) and Caribbean (Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Jamaica and Cozumel Mexico) Cruises and both with MSC Cruise Lines. I'm going on another one this 2018 with MSC Seaside. Its a brand new ship and going to Bahamas, Puerto Rico and St Marten.

Cruise is wonderful experience, but cost can easily add up if you are not careful. From off shore activities, to Drinks and Gratuities which normally in a range of $7-$12 per person daily (rate depends on cruise lines). If you are a Filipino citizen and travelling from the Philippines, then airfare and Visa cost for each ports of call is also additional cost. Otherwise you will have issues during embarkation.

And lastly don't forget to include travel insurance for your cruise. in any event you cancelled or your flight was delayed and you are unable able to board the ship then you get refunded in full. Don't worry travel insurance are not that expensive, if you are able to afford a couple of hundred dollars for your cruise then why not a $50-75.

Got a couple of links for you to check out. hope these helps.

first of all I appreciated your info sir! but can you clarify about...
    1) the "Visa cost for each ports of call is also additional cost." you mention above, assuming traveling euro and if your schengen visa you still need to pay? why. Actually for now im planning with my family somewhere in nordic country or least asia.
    2) you mean the drinks including "h20" aside from free meals are exclusive? and what about the others like the shows and amenities are all free or some are paid? thanks!

As long as you stay within the Schengen area, you only need a single entry visa. If Asia you need to get Visa's for each port of calls. Otherwise you will have issue getting on board.

On board shows and meals in the Main Dining Area are inclusive. However drinks are not, including water. You have to purchase a drink package that includes alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Some Cruise Lines though provide free water in the Main Dining Area but are limited. Again don't forget to include the cost for daily gratuities.

    Some piece of advice.

    1. Avoid peak season like May-August and Nov-Dec. These are the months most Americans will go cruising.
    2. Always....Always look for deals. Some cruise lines offer free for children ages 12 below (like MSC Cruise Lines) and gave On Board Credit (OBC). Amount ranges from $300 - $500 per cabin. You can used that amount to pay for the gratuities.

And lastly, you will see lots of Filipino crew members. They are so friendly and will be happy to help you. including sneaking in some bottle waters to your cabin for free.

    Happy Cruising..
