Default Why Engineering Students shouldnt brag against IT/CS

This isnt a hate thread, but rather an obvious general behavior of most engineering students especially CE,who feels they are superior among all other courses especially I.T kay ambi nila igo rana himohimog mga computer related video games. So,I decided to write this thread to clean the ignorance,or what everyone/public thinks about IT or CompSci students. If you think our course is easy, then try to educate yourselves with the word "programming".Just because you are taking advanced algebra or any high-level mathematics, doesnt mean you are more intelligent than us.And to IT/CS students there, dont let these ignorants bring you down, revenge them with your knowledge.Tanan butang karon ga agad sa programming, never underestimate our capabilies.

Bitter ra ka TS. If you think they know more, then, learn more.. or Specialize more in IT/CS. Simple!

Ipa-ubos lang imu EGO and learn from others. Pagkat.un pud unsa'y naa sa CE.. og dili ra CE og IT ang imung maka-atubang someday sa imung kinabuhi. If your world revolve around your work, you're just living day by day to work..

CE is civil eng'g... CompE is Computer Eng'g.
There's nothing to brag about. Its too shallow to argue with. And guys have a long way to go.
Honestly speaking, kanang inyong nakat-onan sa school dili na paigo sa work in actual field/industry na. So, degree wise, it don't count much at all. It is how you adapt and learn from your work colleagues, dedication and passion to your line of work, and knowing when to leave and jump to another opportunity, it takes a whole of guts and luck.

    Peace everyone.

in light lang for a healthy discussion

    IMO,

CompE are geared towards the traditional methods (tried and tested)
IT/CS are dynamic and mostly venture to the practicality of business
as for the difference, cs/it is just tailored para sa mainstream practical development and less sa theoretical.

anyway, let me just say that those who find satisfaction and better career opportunities are people coming from cs/it (from most people ive known). why? ila expectations man gud gamay pero ang ROI taas(in demand man karon panahona just like what nursing was before), so most of the time they feel contented. unlike sa eng nga daghan kau katonon pero inig abot sa field dili diay mao ang ila gexpect or wala nagamit ang ilang gikaton sa pila katuig + ang sweldo kay maka discourage. hehe.

pero palihug lang ayaw tawn ilugi ning mga trabaho ning mga cs/it kay pansin nako luoy au ang uban fresh grads ron kay ilogan og position sa mga ie/ece/nars just because dako ang points sa ilang credentials kanang 5-year course ba. ila rason "gusto ko dako sweldo mao career shift to IT".

like it or not, the school name and degree will definitely gain you a foothold sa mga applications especially sa mga fresh grads pero your capability and interest will determine if worthy ka sa imong gusto. imperial manila, though naa did2 tanan dako sweldo, is very bias sa school name and degree so if your planning to work there, be ready to defend yourself. but i'll personally tell you na the experience is all worth it.
