Just got the chance to log back in after some time.
Grateful? No. In every professional occupation, there is always what we call "delecadeza" and unless Tommy is doing something illegal, he deserves that respect especially when he had already talked with Gen. Bato before and got his commitment. And they were doing a good job.

Feeling nako they were about to snag something big (that would link a person hilig mo drama) after connecting the dots on his recent pronouncements.

But now with the recent revelations, I'm hoping the misunderstanding between Gen. Bato and Mayor Tom would be patched up soon.

STRIPPED. Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmena has been stripped of his supervision powers over the local police

CEBU CITY, Philippines – The National Police Commission (Napolcom) has stripped Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña of his supervision powers over city police.
The Napolcom issued the memorandum on Wednesday, August 10, after Osmeña withdrew support for the police. The Philippine National Police (PNP) had replaced Cebu City police chief Benjamin Santos without consulting the mayor, Osmeña said on Tuesday.

Osmeña is in the United States for a medical check-up. The memorandum was received and signed by acting mayor Edgar Labella.

Osmeña said in a GMA News interview on Tuesday night that he had revoked firearms and vehicles issued by the city government to the police, and also stopped giving allowance to police officers, following Santos' replacement.

Osmeña had previously offered rewards of up to P50,000 for police officers who killed drug suspects in the line of duty, and to newly-assigned police officers.

In the State of the Nation Address (SONA) last July 25, President Rodrigo Duterte warned mayors who wouldn't cooperate in the government's war against drugs that they would lose their deputization over police forces should they fail to "perform their supervision functions." – Rappler.com

Oops! Since only President Duterte can restore his police powers, this will now test how close Tomas is to Duterte. More importantly, this will show whether or not Duterte trusts Tomas. But if Tomas were close to Duterte, or if Duterte trusted Tomas, would this have happened in the first place? Hhhhmmmmm!
