    Default ASUS Zenfone Selfie SUN Cellular issue


    I just bought the phone yesterday.

    I cannot make and receive a call using a SUN sim card.

    At first I thought the signal was just jamming inside SM Seaside City so I called it off and went home. I've tried everything from resets and changing of phone call settings. None of them work.

    All other network sim cards worked no problem but SUN.

    I've researched also if there was an issue and there it is, some post having the same exact issue. I also tried the suggested ones and failed to no avail.


    Anyone? What is you Zenfone Selfie experience with SUN sim card?

    my wife is using postpaid, ang issue niya is the ff:

    #1 kung motawag ka maski imo na cancel, mag sige pa siya ring
    #2 tawagan unya dili mo ring... pero nag ring sa nag tawag
    #3 ang iya net kay mag sige kawala... naka unli internet man ang plan ato


    so far updating the firmware did solve the issue of #1 and #2, and also changin the network to smart also works, #3 is still an issue.. im also a zf user and i also on sun postpaid so far ang ako ra issue is ang Smart LTE mag sige ka wala ang signal... even after i updated the latest firmware (Nov update)

    you could try updating the firmware, dont wait for the OTA kay ang ZF usahay di mo trigger ang OTA i manual jud nimo download...

    and oh btw... hinay ang signal sa sun sa seaside, if thats the case try changing your network to smart then i on ang roaming... dont worry you wont be charged

    hi! bought mine last month and it was ok for the first 2-3 weeks. texts ok, calls(outgoing/incoming) ok. (i'm using SUN)

    now, i could not make or receive calls anymore (started about more than a week ago). i actually found this part of the thread: cannot call out when phone set to 4G network-ZE551ML (from FreewayJet). followed his advice to "Use the other cellular modes except 2g/3g/4g if you need to make calls. " and it worked.

    what i've observed is that:

    if i'm using 2g/3g/4g preferred network type ---> texts ok (maka receive rako tanan texts), calls not ok (di ko katawag nor di ko makatubag sa tawag)
    if 3g --> texts not ok at times (di ko maka receive sa ubang texts), calls ok (maka tawag and makatubag rako sa tawag)

    please daw ko ug try sa imo? and post feedback here and on your thread sa asus.

    ps: haven't tried globe or smart. ako nya i-try.

    another suggestion:

    Go to settings > more > cellular networks > network operators > choose network > search network > select SMART 3G.

    and it worked for me, i was able to make a call.

    Sun cellular network is under smart, and currently ongoing ilahang migration to smart signal...

    same goes for my mom's phone as in pareha jud... and to add #4 kay bisan unsaon ug swipe to answer either up or down (i know is sideways to answer or reject) pero di ghapon mugana. Dugay pajud ma.end ang call.
    Updated naman ang firmware... same same ra.
