Default help: manual or automatic transmission

mga master, i need some inputs kay im planning to buy a surplus or 2nd hand car but i cant decide on which is more economical in terms of fuel, maintenance etchetera for city driving here in cebu.
manual or automatic? about driving skills no worry for me kay i know how to drive both AT & MT.
    salamat

personally, i will choose AT here in cebu considering the hellish traffic...

in terms of fuel consumption (provided same make and model/engine class), ekonomiya gamay ang MT... but personally, i am willing to shoulder additional cost in the name of convenience kay maka pamaul gyud og batiis ang traffic sa cebu ron...

I have driven both, and even though I drive an MT, I would definitely prefer AT.

You just need to make sure the vehicle is in a "good" condition. Both MT and AT kay mas kalas gyud if bati ang condition. Although I notice AT being much more "kalas", dli kabayran ang convenience.

Depende sa imo lifestyle bro,if within city ra,AT is better for convenience pero check lang jud sa tranny kung magka sakit, hasol pud ayohon, pero kung lawm kag bulsa TS go go go... Ang ending ani adto kas nindot og porma mo pili hehe.

Pls gv us what brand or model IMO plan to buy...ky maglisod ta ug pili if A.T and Wala PD available na pyesa if naay maguba... and if A,T also just prepare for towing services, check up services, and others...esp 2nd hand na imoha...
my friend's Lancer pizza , checked up on different shops with different diagnosis on why it won't shift to 3rd gear...computerized check up ain't cheap...
But on a lighter side, his Ford Escape doesn't have a major problem yet..both are 2nd hand..

My wife's officemate spent around 60k on their Starex transmission...

I have seen manual cars nga mas kalas pa sa AT. One example is pataka lang ug shift. Ma klaro nimo kay mo untol ug kalit. Kalas pd sa maintenance if cge ka kaguba ang clutch assembly, daghan na pd ko nasugatan ani.

If you always travel during peak hours, I suggest, as a driver and a commuter, the automatic transmission.

TS, since city driving ra man imoha.. GO FOR AT nalang... For me M/T is good if your going long distance travels all the time, but for city driving?, AT as always...

and FYI.. Gamay ra ang difference sa economy sa Fuel if mag M/T ka... What boils down is your driving habits... ma AT or ma MT paka, but accelerator happy ka.. betlog ghapn na imong FC bsag let say you pick Manual tranny over A/T
