    Been to UK - Glasgow, Edinburgh, London, Dundee.

    As with the VISA, wala nay interview like sa US, mopass ra ka ug requirements and then makuha ra nmu ang VISA if approved after 2 weeks naa sad sila rush which is 3 days. I believe this applies to all types of VISA which is Business VISA akoa.

    Sa kada city sa UK, naa sila tour bus in which e-tour mo sa mga tourist spot sa city. Pinakamahal kay sa London. Dle sad ka masaag sa UK kay every street naa silay map and makita sad nmu sa ila map kung unsay duol nga tourist spot nga pwede nmu adtoan.

    Traveled to London and Paris 2 years ago. In London we stayed West of Kensington Area which has a direct tube from Heathrow Airport and also close to some attractions, like The Buckingham palace, The Kensington Palace and The Albert Memorial. Rented a one bedroom apartment via Flipkey for $110 (US) daily for a family of 3.

    Side trip to Paris for a day trip. We took the Eurostar (high speed train) early in the morning for a 2 hrs trip to Paris at a cost $170(US) PP round trip. Stayed there for a day and was back at London before midnight. Never got the chance to see all of Paris, but seeing The Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Musee du Louvre and The Champs-Elysées in person is good enough for me.

    As for the VISA requirement, i am a blue passport holder and entitled for a 90 days VISA free stay in Europe, however for U.K. we still need to get a VISA upon arrival. After you disembark from the plane, you will be standing in a line, awaiting a brief interview from the Immigration Officer who will stamp your passport with a visa set to expire six months from the date of entry. For Filipino travelers originating from Cebu you might have to get a VISA either in Manila/Cebu prior to departure. Schengen Visa for Europe covers 26 countries, except for United Kingdom and Ireland, so you need a separate tourist visa when visiting U.K.

    London and Paris are cool cities and needs to be in your bucket list, but visiting these places doesn't come cheaply. Lodging and Food are expensive customarily high compared to what we pay in the U.S. But for Cebuano travelers who desire to travel to these cities in the near future here's my piece of advise;

    *Travel in the lean season. Fall (September -October) or during Winter (December to February) which is much more cheaper. However traveling during winter season is unpredictable due to sudden weather change, so expect delays closure's and bitter cold.

    *In London sleep cheap. Consider apartment rentals or hostel which is more cheaper compare to Hotel. You may book online though flipkey, VRBO or AirBNB. You can cook your own meal and thus save you monies for other stuff.

    * Oyster Card travel Smartcard. Purchase a Smartcard which you can use on all London public transport system. This will save you 50% cheaper the cost than purchasing a single ride.

    I also got the chance to experience cruise from Barcelona, with stops in Italy, Monaco and Lisbon. Also great place to visit. But i will probably have to make a separate thread for a cruise standpoint when visiting europe.

    Hope these helps.
