IF ELECTED as governor of Cebu, lawyer Winston Garcia said he would propose three reclamation projects on which a new international port and special economic zones for light industry and tourism can be built.
He would also ask the National Government for P4 billion, out of a P14-billion premium paid for the right to upgrade Mactan airport, in order to build a second runway.
“If I had been there (in the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority Board), I would have fought tooth and nail to keep that premium with the MCIAA,” Garcia said. “That should remain in Cebu.”
The governor sits as cochair of the MCIAA board.

Just wondering here. If Winston is so bad for Cebu, why does he have the full endorsement of former governor Lito Osmeña, who I respect a lot. Also, are his plans really so bad for Cebu? May I ask, what is the alternative? Just like those of us who are for Duterte because we want change, I think Winston is just offering us an alternative. Unsa man diay mga plano ni Davide? Wa pa jud nato ma compare ang ilang mga plataporma....

Mga Bro, pareha man tingali ta nga mga Duterte diehard. But dili jud ko ka uyon ni Davide. Alter ego ra na cya si Pnoy ug Mar. Way baruganan ug way nabuhat. Lipay ra mo sa performance ni Davide? Ako, wala jud. Walay palabra de honor. Gi salikway ang mga orig nga LP members without a whimper. Gi hatag sa Manila tanan kwarta nato gkan sa airport. Si Lito O, pro Winston kaau. There must be a reason why. ka kita ko sa interview ni Lito nga iya jud gi endorse si Winston nya gi saway si Davide.

Kahibalo na bitaw ta unsa ni ka buang atong administrasyon karon. Kung naa pa silay seryoso nga kaso batok kang Winston, hagbay ra na cya gi issuehan ug arrest warrant. Believe me, ila jud na gi pangitaan ug bikil si Winston nya wala pa silay nakita nga mo pilit. Wala jud cyay problema sa pagpadagan sa GSIS. Daghan mo palabtik nga naa daw cyay daotan na buhat sa GSIS but wa jud detalye. Mura man ug puro ra na pandaot. Finally, gi kasuhan na jud cya but very flimsy case as evidenced by the lack of an arrest warrant. All bark, no bite from a very vindictive administration so wala jud tingali silay nakita nga issue kang Winston.

Anyway, ako kay Duterte ug Winston ko. I think they can work well together and their platforms complement each other. Federalism will provide the funding to realize Winston's vision.
