php api to detect network carrier of a mobile number

Hi guys,

Do you know of any api to detect the network carrier of a mobile number. I prefer using an api so that in case the carriers add or change a prefix number, I don't have to manually update my code/database.

why not just use the prefix to detect the carrier... its all over the internet you know... like 0917 is unique to globe only... so detecting the prefix is much prefered, though you have to keep an updated prefix table, which you can get it from NTC or by asking pareng google...
