I like the GTX 970's performance and seems like it's what I am looking for..I just don't have enough budget for it :/

IF the base GTX 960 (non TI variant) will perform as well as a GTX 770 or close to it, mao ako paliton nlng, hopefully 12-13k ra ang price

Soooo speculations suggest that GTX 960 is inferior in performance to a GTX 770, which I am really disappointed since I am looking for at least the same performance to a 770 or faster..tsk

2gb and 128 bit ra ang gtx 960 which is im not quite convinced to buy this vc though power consumption is really low around 120w pero basin soon naa 4gb ani kay most of the latest games demands higher vram for high/max settings

relax mga bros, the GTX 960 will be the "New Entry" level gaming GPU of Nvidia... on the 20 nm process that is... if we'll include the 1st gen Maxwell, the 28 nm GM107 used by the GTX 750 series, then for now, kani pa sila ang considered na entry level maxwell pa gyud... the 960 series are true to the sense med level offerings...

on the higher VRAM, gamit lang na'g higher resolution. kun game lang istoryahan, kaning mga current games ron, dili ni sila maka benefit ug more than 2 GB on 1080p resolution (maybe, naa siguro pero, wla lang ko maka duwa). even 1 GB is enough for the games now... kun mag Nvidia Surround or AMD Eyefinity @ 2K minimum resolution, then, this is where the high VRAM GPUs (3 GB and above) will really shine...

    just to add...

    GTX 750
    GTX 750 Ti
    GTX 960
    GTX 770
    GTX 780
    GTX 960 Ti
    GTX 780 Ti
    GTX 970
GTX 980... so on and so forth

dili nko i-include ang GTX Titan series diri kay they are on a league of their own... then are not purely considered as gaming GPUs man gud...

@lloyd_joy Yes high vrams are for high resolution if gaming, kalimot ko mention ani hehe...sakto kaau ning 960's for mid gaming setup with it's Maxwell architecture for those who are concerned on the power consumption. nagplano pako mo palit pud og vc for my rig pero huwat lng sa siguro ko sa official announcement from nvidia about 960's i think this Jan 22..basin naa na pud "Ti" variants and hopefully 192bit and if dako price gap from 960 ti to 970, might consider this beast ang mga 700 og 600 series gihinay2x nag clearance sale hahaha

hmm, bitaw bitaw..but i'd like to upgrade my GPU and make it future proof sad..so if dli ko ka angay sa 960 or 960ti maybe magtigum nlng ko sa 970

in this hobby of ours... future proof is only for 3 to 4 yrs... on the GPU... kun dili ka mapa igo sa sakit. but depende pud ni's configuration sa gaming system... CPU and GPUs (single or multi-configuration)...

for base line, akoa, been using the GTX 670 SLI since 2012... until as of this writing, the pair still spank... and not only do they spank... they spank a lot... hehehe... nice fps pa ang gihatag nila... power consumption wise, never mind... ahahahaha... i will never go back to a single GPU again... dili man pud ko mo palit ug mahal na single GPU... my personal preference on a gaming rig is dual GPU as minimum...

now, for the latest Maxwell offering, i'll get the GTX 970 and SLI it too... mas barato ra man sya sa 980... hehehe... but if the budget is not an issue, i'll get the GTX 980 and slap 2 GPUs inside the rig...

on the other hand, AMD is also brewing a very nice offering... watch out ta once available na sa market...
