850w PSU kaput less than 1 year... why?

early this year i bought a silverstone 850w gold psu

yesterday i tried to sleep my pc nya dili na mu wake.
no display
so reset. - no display no post no beep
removed GPU, using onboard, no display no post no beep
removed memory - no display no post no beep

gi dala nako where i bought my PSU, guba gyud PSU.

ok raman kay na hulog pa under warranty ako PSU,
what bothers me is WHY? chambahan ko? or is there some underlying cause?
this is not a generic PSU this is a branded and highly regarded PSU.

^ maybe the sleep is not the cause of your PSU to destroy, but the PSU itself is defective I believe, na timingan lang guro that time when u sleep ur PC ara ra nituorok imong PSU.

Since ST50F bug, I stopped purchsing SILVERSTONE PSUs...

I would recommend, ANTEC, HEC, Coolermaster, Cougar, Thermaltake, etc. Dili nako anang Silverstone.

i think all those brand mentioned are good except generic psu's, sa mataymingan ra gyud na kanus-a ma busted ug depende pud sa gamit including sa gidugayon... IMHO

Silverstone are reliable PSU's based on reviews they are pretty impressive. Wa pay hasol RMA kay naa ra dri within Cebu. I also recommend Silverstone PSU's to my client.

Based what TS had experienced, na timingan lang gyud sya, we can't guarantee that all of good known brand PSU's wala pd clay defective PSU's, of course it has, maybe out of luck lang gyud si TS.

i dont know where i have read any review of silverstone psus with excellent findings. i think i have not. silverstone psu are mostly made by enhance and fsp, which IMO are not on the level of seasonic or enermax.

i have an sfx 450 which is my first ss psu. it has terrible coil whine on load.

@TS question, there are certain psus that cannot operate below their minimum required load. these psus may not have NLO-no load operation, so at zero or near zero load they have no mechanism to cope with it.
