Disney taps Bill Condon to direct a live-action 'Beauty and the Beast'
While Disney moves quickly to get their Beauty and the Beast blockbuster redo off the ground, Warner Bros. has quickened up the pace on their own, potentially setting a mammoth square off between the two studios as they each hope to be first to market. Del Toro is said to be busy elsewhere and unable to go right now, but alas, the studio has confirmed that he will stay on in a producing capacity.
