Bike lanes soon in Cebu City

I'm not sure if the proponents noticed that the climate here in the Philippines is not conducive for people going to work using a bike.
And as if the roads here in Cebu City are enough for existing and soon to be more vehicles.

I hope these proponents will walk their talk to set an example and let's see if the end justifies their means... or just another ^$&*!@.

Don't want to sound negative, but people drive on the wrong side of the road and even on the sidewalk now. I don't think there is enough self-discipline for this to work and these lanes will end up being used by pedestrians or vendors.
