Woman stabs dentist’s aide at St. Luke’s QC

A dentist’s aide was injured in a stabbing incident at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City.
The suspect, identified as Laura Cruz, managed to bring a bladed weapon inside the hospital by wrapping it in clothes inside her bag.
Cruz proceeded to the dentist’s clinic on the fourth floor of the hospital’s Medical Arts Building.
There, Cruz asked the dentist’s aide if there were any job openings. When the aide told her that they would just call her, Cruz got mad.
She brought out the knife and proceeded to stab the victim in the head, chin, and hands.
Police arrived to subdue and arrest Cruz before she could do more harm. The knife, which was recovered from Cruz, was broken during the attack.
The wounded dentist’s aide, meanwhile, was immediately given treatment and is now confined in St. Luke's.
According to the dentist, Cruz had gone to the clinic several times to ask for a job.
Police are now gathering evidence so they can charge Cruz with frustrated murder.
