I'm only posting in behalf of Troy Casquejo, i personally inspected the guitar and can say this is one fine crafted instrument.

Using seasoned tonewoods and construction techniques that could easy fetch this guitar around $2000 range. However Troy is not looking for that price range.

The tonewoods:

- Madagascar Rosewood Back and Sides (rare to use in acoustics nowadays as most are using indian rosewood)
- African Gaboon Ebony (darkest ebony specie)
- seasoned Spruce Top (best top for long projection of highs and lows for a soundboard)
- African Mahogany
- Bone nut / bridge

The tone is perfectly clear and well pronounced, great sustain. I checked the lacquer for dips and pitting which is common on some of the guitars from other builders in the area and could not find any.

The bracing technique used by Troy in this build overly complements the tonewoods being used. There was no areas on the neck pocket that showed excess glue and the rosette work is clean and is real not a vinyl or painted on.

Fretwork is clean, no sharp edges and the fret slots do not show around the sides. i've seen this in most of the builds in the area.

Things to consider:

The fretboard is dry but is easily corrected with tad use of mineral oil.

The hardcase is sub-par but has a vintage vibe to it, however i would recommend adding more cushion/foam to case.

Needs new strings.
