i'll be in hongkong this nov.8-13. this is my 4th time. we'll be staying in evergreen hotel. it's a budget hotel with free breakfast na. and nice sad ang location.

in my previous visits, i've tried dragon hostel and mei mei motel. both in sincere house. personally i prefer the hostels in sincere house than those in chungking and mirador mansion. both chungking and mirador look very run down and scary. although their location is very good, it's in tsim sha tsui. very close to the harbour. sincere house too has a good location since it's very close to the ladies market.

i recommend mei mei motel (stayed here 4 months ago), it's a new hostel and it looks more like a 3 star hotel than a hostel. you can visit their website. dragon hostel is a good option too.

for first timers, make sure you stay either in tsim sha tsui area or in jordan or mongkok.

i also highly recommend Hotel Benito and Butterfly on Prat. they're budget hotels na nindot jud and in good location. but if nag-save jud mo, pag hostel na lang mo. the hostels are usually located either in Chungking Mansion, Mirador Mansion and Sincere House.

usually for hostels you need to book in advance as the rooms tend to get booked faster than hotels (due to price) especially during peak season (around this time up to december). yes both cosmic and usa hotel are in the same bldg.

if ganahan jud ka hostel, you may want to check out taisan huesthouse. we stayed here for 2 nights. it's in a slightly better environment than chungking and mirador mansion. what i liked most about taisan is that they have computers with free internet in each room and a microwave oven. and if you stay for 3 days or more, you get free laundry service. we booked 2 weeks early in our last trip and they gave us 10% discount. i prefer Taisan Store 1 coz it's nearer to the MTR.
