    Nindot gyud na plano but naay one detail nakalimtan,
    Kana na area kay ana mo agi ang mga barko esp. ang mga high rise na cargo vessel.
    And since Cebu port also caters to international ships, murag lisod mahitabo na nga bridge or they have to make a very high bridge.

    from what i remember, hobie is actually correct...
    because the bridge will ultimately cross a towards pasil/mambaling part, it does need to be really high...otherwise, bigger ships can't go under it...except if they'll create a moveable bridge: Moveable bridge - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    @jeremiahjay - that is correct...2 bridges...but if you noticed, ships from manila does not cross under the 2 bridges anymore...which does back then...this is because (as far as i can remember sa news sauna) they are re-reouted to take the other side of the bridges...bale, nag-U-Turn sila...tungod man atong manga-sangit ang barko, mag-collision (thanks Trans-Asia...stufu captains), etc...

    sakto ka bro...international cargo ships heading to the international port actually goes around mactan island avoiding the two bridges...I think this was the reason ngano naabot ta ang undersea tunnel na proposal instead sa 3rd bridge....

    hope this will push through, kay kaau man anang naay laing bridge.pru dapat sjud studyhan pag ayo ni nga project,kay di ni ma tabas2x ang budget pra ani,kay ang pag cemento lang dalan mga 20meters ang gitas-on,abot man gnig 4M,kni pa kha nga mo labang jud.it's a good project though.
