    Hhmm..reformat lng? You should be fine if format and reinstall OS. But if you decide to upgrade OSX, check for hardware compatibility...10.6.X is quite old.

    Im having a shutdown issue with my rmbp. It takes 30+ seconds to shutdown. I tried resetting PRAM and NVRAM to no effect.

    insert the disk if you have it and boot from there. Open disk utility and delete the partition that has OS X. Then you reboot again and install os x.

    after upgrading to mavericks and installing all updates the bluetooth no longer works. I can't receive files from my phone anymore. the connection drops as soon as you try the file transfer.

    You may also want to use

    cmd+shift+ctrl+4
    cmd+shift+ctrl+3

    Then paste the screenshot to any open screen, like email, word...etc

    - type the word or command you are looking.
    - position the arrow. A big arrow will appear where the command is located.

    Quick view
    - click the file. press spacebar to preview. press spacebar to close.
    - will preview the file or play music.

    Slideshow
    - select picture files.
    - option+spacebar.

    Navigate thru open apps
    - cmd+tab but I normally use 4finger swipe up for mission control.
