Ang importante lang sa salary nga naa dapat ma save. Bisan gamay lang.
500 kada salary or 1,000 ba kaha, syaro after 40years nimo ug tigum dili na modako.
Ang importante lang is to be consistent gyud, and disciplina to save and dili pataka ug release ug money basta dili essential.

Maningkamot ka more on to save.

Bisan ang consistent nga 500 pesos, bisan dili nimo i invest. Basta consistent lang ka hatag ug 500 pesos kada sueldo to save is already.

240,000 in 40 years. hehe.. tinamban lang and yeah impractical nga dili i invest. But speaking straightforwardly. Makasave gyud ka ana nga amount.
    yup sakto ka,

actually my savings is based na on my job. i earned it it 2 years time. i was 25 when i realized nga my parents spent about 400k on my studies sa college pero here i am. not able to return anything to them after 4 yrs of working.

basically i envy call center agents earning a lot while profesionals here in cebu are paid very low. sometimes makaingon lang ko " kanindut itrbaho nalang og call center ui"

so far i have a good job now and satisfied sa benefits, dili kaayu dako sweldo but i know i belong to people with growing savings, bahalag gamay basta kanunay

I also don't understand completely why we professionals get lesser salaries compared to those in the call center industry.
But I have a little reasons why they've paid well. Abnormal working hours that destroys our biological clock, unhealthy lifestyle
includes nightlife and heavy smoking, american/foreign based means higher value over peso, and lastly, they don't enjoy local
    holidays. Hehehehe...

Tinuod, callcenter agents at their 20's mas dako pa ug sweldo keysa 20's-30's na government employees na counterpart.

"It's not about how much u earn but how much u save"

I am an OFW which gives me and advantage to save big coz I'm earning dollars but really? I have coworkers here who has been here for 20 years or more and with nothing to show. No savings or assets or whatsoever. Modesty aside, I've saved enough and invested enough that I consider myself self-insured and will go back home by next year. Will work not because I HAVE to but because I WANT to regardless of the salary. I did all of these just by being frugal. Heck, I don't even own an IPad or an IPhone.

    @notfriends

I dont work in a call center pero i dont think what u mentioned were all true.. i mean, yep sakto ang abnormal working hours pero unhealthy lifestyle depends cguro on the individual.. cguro most.. pero i know friends who work in qualfon or cvg.. ng.work cla while ngskwela plus supporting their families in the provinces.. nka.graduate na jud ang uban nla.. hehehe.. they dont enjoy local holidays pero double pay man sad cla.. hehe

anyway, yep maka-ibog sad jud na ng.work ug colcenters ehehe ako i work for a big real estate company.. nndot pa kaau ang title/ position nko.. pero tawn ang sweldo pait kaau hahaha.. pero sagd lng.. stepping stone pa man ni.. there are better opportunities out there.. hehehehe and it's true.. It's never about how much u are earning, it's about how u spend/ save that's important

and it's also been said that tuition fees double every 7 years or so.. hahaha so f plano mo mg.liwat i-compute na nn.u daan ang tuition sa inyong anak.. and tuition is just one slice of the pie hehehe

to make it easier, you can go backward from the day you earn your 1st salary hangtud sa pag anak sa imuha. kwenta tanan gasto sa needs, food, cloths and everything. its likely to fall 5M. that means your parents had invested on you. ROI? what you are today

i worked in a govt agency for more than 5 yrs. gamay sweldo pero daghan bonuses, holidays, normal hours. im working in a european company now. dakodako sweldo, walay holidays, graveyard shift. paghawa nako sa govt, naa ko pabaon nga more than 30k -- monetization sa mga leaves kay permanent/regular govt employee man ko sauna. kung mohawa ko sa foreign company namo karon, pila ra kaha akong madawat. so i think naay pros and cons each. you may think of it as a choice between instant gratification or delayed gratification.

Naay daghan rason bro nga gamay or dako ang sueldo nga gihatag sa company. There are too many to mention.
But it all boils down ra gihapon na if pila ug gi unsa nimo ang imong gisave monthly.

Nahulog naman tingale na nga normal sa starting professional to be paid less than the CC agents.
But in the long run bro, mobalik ra gihapon nimo ang imong gihaguan ug imong gi iskwelahan nga profession.
I have so many colleagues who can prove that.
