anybody with mailchimp setup experience?

FACT

i have a sign up form in my wordpress website from mailchimp. upon signing up, it will send a confirmation email. when the confirmation link is clicked a final email is sent.

email template forms and list are already in mailchimp and i can't find a way to bypassed the confirmation email being sent.

DESIRED BEHAVIOUR

is it possible to avoid the confirmation email being sent and send the final email instead?
