Bro/Sis I may be wrong but it seems like there is nothing to worry about your unit's touch screen. The reason why it has a stylus is your screen still has the resistive type of touch screen which requires a bit of effort for it to respond. Unlike capacitive touch screen, resistive touch screen may not respond immediately especially when using your finger. Reason is, it may be recognizing multi-touch. Just a thought since I saw the box with a stylus on it.
