yep, there had been such reports that the Heterometros longimanus are parthenogenic pero i think that cant be fully true kay parthenogenic organisms tend to produce only females but yet we can always come across male specimen indicating that they might have been mated. I think that the females were accidentally mated on their 6i and went on a maternal diapause until conducive conditions for sling bearing are available and so they dropped the slings even in the absent of a male for a looooooooong time which makes us think that they are parthenogenic......though i am not discounting the probability that it might be true.....maybe to a few specimen....who knows.
