Can't we build North to South super highways or freeways instead?

Imagine an 8 lane elevated freeway from Consolacion all the way to Minglanilia with exits along key points. I think this will improve the traffic sa existing roads.

    - Colored green kay Elevated na' nga Freeway
    - Colored green with the red over it kay Elevated nga freeway along with a BRT or LRT nga lane.

    We need more skywalks
and overpasses to ease traffic congestion,
after such we could ponder whether to put in place
    either BRT or LRT.

For me , skywalks and overpasses are short term / band-aid solutions.

We need better / more elegant solutions unya dapat whatever projects are undertaken should be one step or phase towards a master plan for the transportation network in Cebu . (i.e. If someone plans to build a flyover, dapat kana' nga flyover will tie in with a future freeway or skyway para dili mausik ang gasto niya.

That is more costly and a huge eyesore. And fyi, BRT costs us 1/10 that of urban rail transit. Jeepneys should be replaced with a wider, uniform, eco-friendly, safer, and more organized public mode of transportation such as the BRT.

More skywalks less traffic signal stops
for there is already an access with the pedestrians,
if we put in place overpasses/flyovers it will somehow
    ease traffics in intersections.
Yup you're absolutely right, proper planning should be made
so that if constructed these would still be of much use in the future.

Wrong. Target those who don't follow road signs. They cause more traffic. Skywalks are useless if road signs are not properly imposed. Or better yet, create an example like the BRT and everyone will follow.

We need only pointers for the skywalk directions,
more fluid in traffic flows if there are lesser traffic signal stops.

As what I have observed, jJeepneys who don't follow loading/unloading, PUJ stop, no stopping signs cause more traffic than pedestrians.

We can reroute them to overpasses,
none would alight there I guess.
