Why put political color into it? Did you even consider the possibility that the reason why Dino and the DOTr have the same recommndation is because it is the correct decision? Even the Cebu Chamber has said they only support BRT if there is roading widening to accomodate the BRT but there is none. Our mayor who thinks so highly of himself did not have the foresight to include road widening in the project and so it is destined to fail. Storya ta ug tinuod oi. Asa man nato ibutang nang BRT sa Banilad-Talamban road? Usa ra na ka example hah.

First of all, the Build, Build, Build program of Duterte is designed to fast track big ticket projects like BRT. Secondly, if the BRT is implemented as currently planned, Cebu will become a big parking lot the moment it is implemented. Imagine, in the Banilad-Talamban corridor, the BRT buses will mix with the already horrendous traffic. In other areas where the BRT will have it’s own lane, road capacity for other vehicles will be cut in half. All those based in Cebu who commute everyday know what I mean.

di mana assurance ang brt for people to stop driving their cars. It's an investment, and ma put to waste ra if itambay sa garage. Sa mga personal pa na, lain pa tong mga commercial vehicles.
pagahi-ay baya ning mga tao diri sa cebu. Hahaha

I have heard that the usual PPP program has been modified to fast track everything. Also, here is an article that shows the that Duterte wants things fast tracked.
