    i would hope that you'd "imagine" and take out your anti-BRT mindset for a few minutes and try...just try to think about the 'success' (since i think it is regardless of anyone's opinion) on that hundreds of people who COULD HAVE...COULD HAVE TAKEN a cab/grab...because i'd like to think that the convenience of MyBus is basically the same as you're taking a cab/grab...

    success? i'd say katong Yokohama (government-owned) ug Blue Lines buses sauna...maoy murag success kay mas ni-langtad tog dugay...why? basin tungod kay airconditioned...ako mismo, rider atong duha...bayad ko additional P3-P5 on top sa regular jeepney fare for convenience and cold airconditioning...

    Mura ug naay misconception dri. Dili sa tutol mi sa BRT in general. We know unsa sya ka effective na mass transport system. Effective ra sya only if our city can accommodate it. City and its people. Yes, daghan mu sakay padung sa airport using MyBus, wla may statistics that shows ning less ang people riding taxi to the airport.

    Concluding na people are buying cars because of the ineffective mass transpo system is only half of the story. Daghan sad namalit because init and erratic ang weather so far. A bus can't save you from the heat or rain on your way to the bus station. Naa say uban na namalit ug sakyanan because dali ra kaau maka palit. Similar concept is that people are buying postpaid plans on flagship phones because they can afford it. It is very easy to obtain.

    Again, to those na nag ingon na BRT will work, we understand your point. But, unless makahatag mo ug alternative routes for Pardo, Talamban and other areas na 2 lanes ra, dili pa ma solidify ang BRT plans. Naglisod na ta sa 2 lanes ron, how much if kuhaon ang usa ka lane for BRT. BRT will only be effective if the PEOPLE themselves and the Government are as effective.

    daghan resource sa internet sa fail og success scenario sa lain2x mode of transport lets educate ourselves.

    imagine ngano og ting klasi.. mo samot og ka traffic.. nga same raman unta ang ka daghanon sa tao..
    imagine kong holiday ngano wa may traffic?

    This is because mag auto ang mga students/trabahante kai daghan nag datu sa Cebu.
    if you can provide them with other alternative mode of transport nga convenient and cheaper vs driving a car,
    they will take it.

    of course there will be challenges and struggles ig implement ani, pero these are necessary pains and inconvenience while we switch to a new system.

    let's not only look at the present scenario/reality and get overwhelmed with the current problem, but let us look at the future and paint it, one stroke at a time..

    ako boss taga pardo ko and to tell you honestly 2 lanes rai gi gamit aning lugara.. kai gi himo nig parkingan sa jeep/police car ang dalan lols. so maybe we solve that problem first.

    we can look at the model of MyBus. but BRT will be different kay it will have its own lane. best part of MyBus is it is backed by a corporation with deep pockets. but if ang MyBus will not have dedicated lane, then it will not last long. cost will go sky high kay ma stuck raman sa traffic kanunay so ang fuel mahal pud so kusug kaon ug fuel then less trips. if less trips then dili ma cater ang mga kadaghanan. unless if SM will add more units which i doubt kay musaka napud ang operational cost and it will drive up the prices.

    if gustuhon gyud nila boss, technically pwede ang BRT labi na if ila ignore ang uban private owners. lets just say kasagaran karon sa mga kadalanan sa cebu kay 4 lanes. lets take 2 lanes especially for BRT then lets leave 1 lane each direction for others then bahala nana sila. i mean kung pinolosopohay pwede gyud.hehe.

    but ang problema karon kay naglisud silag palit sa mga lots para mapalapdan ang dalan. which is dapat mao gyud unta unahon. para nako lang ba.

    gi-linyahan na gani ang among dapit kung asa kutob ang gub-on...murag more or less 10-15 meters ang mawala...ang ubang balay kay usa ka dupa nalang ang mahabilin tawon...

    usa sa mga istasyon sa BRT ang among gawas...

    ang ila plan widen boss is ang area ra nga naay stations. thats as far as i know boss ha.

    lets take example banilad talamban area. gikan banilad padung talamban at most naa ray two lane each direction sige three nalang if walay magparking sa kilid sa dalan.hehe.

    BRT will have its own dedicated lane. so lets take two lanes from that. the rest will use single lanes and maybe two small lanes on each direction. grabe naman gani trapik ron boss bisan tag three lanes na each direction. hehe.unsa na kahag pahakan pa. although BRT will be flowing kay dedicated man.

    mao ba?asa ka kabasa ana boss.atay nah.meaning walay dedicated lane ang brt? sus maria. ma stuck rana sa trapik ang bus.dili kabalik sa route dayon.gamay ra makasakay. di effective mass transport if mao na. if ila daghanon ang units dili pud cost effective.

    Sa akong tan-aw, kaning mga anti-BRT is mga private car owners. Wala siguro ni sila kasuway ug sakay ug jeepney nga gakagang-kagang, tayaon ug abog. Dugay pa jud ka maabot kay sige lag hunong maski dili jeepney stop. Usahay magbuhat pa ug ilang terminal sa dalan.
    Ang BRT is dili solution sa traffic since ang major cause jud sa traffic is mga private vehicles, habal-habal, uber/grab, taxi nga perting daghana. Pero since naa may own lane ang BRT sa Phase 1 (Pardo to IT Park) mas dali maabot ang manakayay from point A to point B.
    Walay own lane ang BRT sa Ban-Tal area pero nganong dili man pwede iimplement ang Phase 1 which is from Pardo to IT Park nga naa man own lane? Kung naay own lane ang BRT, nganong dili man mu-work?
