Why PH officials let Taiwanese poachers go | ABS-CBN News

MANILA - Philippine officials said they decided to free a Taiwanese fishing boat caught poaching in Batanes waters because of threats from a larger vessel.

Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Cagayan Valley Director Jovita Sayson said it was a joint decision with the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) because of the presence of a Taiwanese cutter that blocked the Philippines’ smaller patrol boat.

Asked if the circumstance then was life-threatening for local officials, Ayson said: “It seemed that way.”

seriously, China is following closely Sun Tzu's The Art of War...

and they are already winning without firing a shot in an actual war. The strategy of building sand islands, ignoring UNCLOS and whatever complaints the Philippines is filing with the "barangay", putting in place weapon systems, landing strip, control tower, and soon declaring an Air Defense Zone... knowing too fully well that the modern day Filipinos have a backbone as weak as a silk thread when it comes to starting World War III...China has already won!
