By this logic, U.S. has rights to assert itself on the outlying islands in the Gulf of Mexico. It's hypocrisy because not long ago, when there was a Bamboo Curtain, China kept crying foul on "American Imperialism", with America's involvement in Korea, Indochina and the Philippines, and then now they have the right to be trampling over weaker nations' sovereignty?
