I'm sorry but I'm not a Fox fanatic. He might not be taking away Tricare but the increase in fees to $590 are bludgeoning retirees, opting them not to enroll. In years past, the administration seeks to cut health costs by having retirees and families pay more under all three options of TRICARE.
Three hundred yers ago, America was an open wilderness. Anyone could go there, set up a tent and declare the land as their property. There was no such thing as "illegal immigrant". The Brits created colonies in the Northeast. The French set up theirs in the SouthEast and portions of Canada, the Mexicans settled in California, Texas, Arizona, etc...
Wait, so you say he is taking away TriCare, but he really isn't? Seems like a communication problem when you say one thing because you think no one will bother to correct you, but actually know the opposite to be true. The fact that service members and families pay more is just a sign of the rising cost in health care. I do not think I should be getting something for nothing. But apparently you think I should, so I thank you. However, the fact is, TriCare for service members is still the more affordable health insurance in the marketplace.
We have raised petitions, in protecting veterans and retirees mainland or offshore from overcharging, bad support system, insurance scams, and the lousy customer support. But no one was interested to look into this issue. The administration or any of their sub-offices were ignoring these pleas.
A few vets I knew in Subic were forced out of Prime, into Standard care. We called TriCare 1800 service, and Call center representatives were rude and did run arounds. Man, it's just getting worst.
