Again China doesnt have Mig 29 in service.

Russia offered both Mig 29 & Su 27 in the mid 90's and the Chinese pick the Su 27 only.

Only Malaysia and Myamar has Mig 29 in ASEAN (currently operational)

It is possible that the our pilot mistakenly identity the Su 27 as Mig 29.

Both are twin tail aircraft, though Su 27 is a heavy class compared to Mig 29.
