china knows that we do not even have armaments to give them a warning shot! they can build all they want and all we can do is complain.

^ its not their fault that our government is so corrupt they can't even replace our dilapidated military aircraft! Even the abu sayyaf mock our military, when they kidnapped those people in Palawan and got away with their high speed boat while our hilarious army had to make do with a pump-boat. hahaha...

oi gi claim rasad na sa PH oi. CLAIM! dili na proven na part gyud sa PH. sa maka una lang og tukod og infastructure gud. Vietnam also has an airbase on one island.

^ Maybe we can't prove we own it, but if that is so, then China has even less a chance of proving they own it, given that they are several thousand miles away from those islands.

thats what i was trying to say, the legal way of proving a territory is yours would be if you have citizens carrying your nations culture living there. in the case of the spratly islands uninhabited man sila, basically first come first serve na sila.

after they build air bases and buildings there, sooner or later ma himo mana og tourist spot, so naturally people will start living there, then once for example the PH tries to claim the island walay nay ma himo kay naa nay populos nga naka puyo sa island, unsaon nimo tagakan og mortar like Nokor does? good luck, nuke ma kaon nato.

^ That is not actually the only way. If you say that then you're saying large parts of Australia are open for claims because large parts are uninhabited. There is actually a law by the U.N. that governs how island nations are defined. Lots of our islands are uninhabited, are you then saying that if China gets into those islands they also automatically become part of China. Think on this carefully before you respond.

i know, im talking about the spratlys here, since the PH is so damn useless when it comes to securing its own territory those laws dont matter, and since the UN has proven itself to be politically impotent when the US decided to invade Iraq despite the UNs opposition I dont think the UNs credibility still stands. one more thing the law only applies to continents, archepilagos have diffent rules of boundaries especially the economic zones on waters.
