both the ova and the series are psychological to watch. but it really is simple to understand if watch the show carefully.

The show is all about friendship and their struggles to keep their friendship intact. The dream world depicts how they fight off the struggle for the sake of their friendship. It's like the two worlds are parallel to each other.
