If budget permits go for a car that runs on diesel (mas tipid sa gas) if not a car with a 1.3 engine displacement will do e.g. City and Vios. Go for a brand new car jud. This is based on experience, less headache and all..

Bro. You should take look at the Lancer GLS or GLX (old version). The manual costs 720k while the CVT costs 770k plus a lot of freebies like LTO, insurance, etc. and they will give you a 20k discount. If you buy a Honda or Toyota, wala freebies and this will add up to 30-40k to their list price. In addition, magcharge pa ang Toyota and Honda shipping charges na 20k+. The Lancer came out cheaper by 100k to a 1.3L City, which was my wife's first choice.

I was tempted by this because I just recently helped by wife choose her new car. She eventually chose an Elantra but that is over you 800k budget.
