Franklin Drilon, forever a PATRIOT!

During Estrada's time, he is the first to jump ship. I was quite dismayed because I was for the constitutional process to continue. He bolted from LDP and join LP. His reason is that he can no longer support the corrupt Estrada regime. He has a point.

When the issue of gloriagate and juetengate stalked the GMA administration, I expected him to speak out. No he didnt. Like any other blind Arroyo minions he stick it out with the President even with the damning tapes. I just wonder, what happened to a principled man like Senator Drilon? I was so disappointed. He was inconsistent.

Then, last Friday, what seemed to be the unthinkable happened. Drilon is asking GMA to resign. Tears rolled down in my eyes. The moral uprightness in Mr. Drilon has surfaced again. He is still with the side of good and right after all. If you really have good conscience, it will always be depended when push comes to shove. The original players of EDSA I are now becoming one in their stand in the present crisis. Pres. Cory, Drilon, Jejomar Binay, former Sen. Saguisag and Aquilino Pimentel are now in the same boat. Only Joker Arroyo and Fidel V. Ramos are still on the other side. I hope the true EDSA players will be one someday.

1] After the Liberal Party's, Drilon & Cory's mesage they were expecting more from their OWN party to join just like the magic that they did to EDSA 1 & 2 but nobody did join them and to quote an article from Inquirer, "It was not sold out." I have high respect for Cory & Drilon but they are wrong this time. If you care to read the sensible and objective parts of the newspaper you will know why Biazon, Cory & Drilon did what they did. Take note FVR did not join them. When FVR & Cory is always a tandem.

2] The resigned cabinet members ASSURED the president that they will "hold on" with her even AFTER her "sorry" but was mistaken when they jumped shiped EARLY thinking that the ship is already sinking but they are dead wrong. They are playing politics to save their skin but they are idiots, no foresight whatsoever.

3] What does Noli care if GMA resigns or not? If GMA resigns he becomes president and if he goes AGAINST the president now and if the president will still be in power then he will lose her good graces. The best thing Noli should do is sit & wait. That is why he never took any offer from the opposition at least not just yet.

"Everybody knows Ramos. He has the backing of active and retired military generals. He is credible in the eyes of the international community, having been a favorite US ally who succeeded in turning the economy around during his term," said the lawmaker.

Ramos was a former AFP chief of staff and defense secretary who is considered a hero of Edsa I.

As president emeritus of Lakas, Ramos had the ears of many powerful political families who control the House of Representatives and many local government posts, he said.

As proof that the "Cabinet coup" had already fizzled, Ms Arroyo and Ramos motored to Sulo Hotel to drop in during the party caucus, flashing the thumbs up signs. It was the first time she left Malacañang this week.
